Please note the following information from the Japanese Department regarding Japan Day lunch on Wednesday, October 24th.
Cezar’s Kitchen will be providing an En-nichi (Japanese) style lunch instead of their usual options.
All students who are not bringing their own lunch from home will need to pre-purchase tickets to receive En-nichi lunch. They cannot use their regular Cezar’s Kitchen account on that day.
Tickets will be on sale at the School Shop in strips of 5 (500 yen) after school (3 – 4 pm) until Tuesday, October 23. Single tickets cannot be purchased, however, if students have left over tickets from 500yen strips, they may be refunded on: November 12 and November 15 after school 3:00 - 4:00 pm from the school shop in exchange for the unused tickets.
Students who order En-nich lunch must bring their own chopsticks on the day.
En-nichi lunch menu includes the following choices (1 ticket each):
Edamame: boiled soybeans
Norimaki: rice rolled with seaweed
Oinarisan: sushi rice stuffed into pockets of fried tofu
Onigiri: rice ball – salmon, konbu (kelp), ume (pickled plum)
Udon: thick noodles in soup
Curry: Japanese curry with vegetables
Oyako Don: chicken and cooked eggs over rice
Yakisoba: stir fried noodles with vegetables
Yakitori: char broiled chicken on sticks
Takoyaki: ball-shaped fried flour batter with minced octopus
Karaage: fried chicken
Tsukimi Dango: sweet rice dumplings
Fruits Punch with shiratama: canned fruits in syrup with sweet rice flour dumplings
